Buffalo Announces New Line of DD-WRT Wireless Routers

Last year, Buffalo launched a brand new line of DD-WRT Open Source routers. Following our latest article on the best DD-WRT routers, we decided to follow up by covering these new pre-installed DD-WRT devices by Buffalo. As we discussed on the previous article, DD-WRT brings forth ease of use flexibility and functionality to otherwise limited router functions. All models can easily be configured as an Access Point or Wireless Bridge. Buffalo designed the routers to take advantage of the DD-WRT firmware capabilities and included all the features any network geek would want across 3 models: The flagship AirStation AC 1750 WZR-1750DHPD, runner up Airstation N600 WZR-600HP2D and entry model Airstation N300 WHR-300HP2D.

If you do not feel comfortable with flashing firmware on routers to run DD-WRT, we can suggest these new Buffalo models as being very good devices at great price point for any beginner. Many competitors sell pre-configured routers for higher costs for similar or less performance.

All Buffalo routers come with a 3 Year Warranty, and the second generation routers have reportedly fixed any previously found bugs, so there’s never been a better time to pick one of these boxes up.
