Kaspersky Maps Global Cyberthreats In Real Time
There is a new map that is changing the way you see cyber threats. Now you can see a visual representation of the locations that are most at risk, all in real time. If you want to know where your country ranks from a malware infection perspective, you can access an innovative map developed by Kaspersky Lab. Kaspersky Lab is handing out all the answers to your security concerns.
Kaspersky Lab is one of the leaders in the IT security industry and created an interactive real-time map that shows all malware threats and security issues. This is very cool to see, but it also is pretty terrifying when you think of all the malware threats that exist.
How Does It Work?
All the threats and infections listed are those detected by Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Internet Security software across any type of device. Using this interactive cyber threat map is pretty easy. All you have to do is spin the 3D globe with your mouse and then use the zoom feature to move in or out. After you click on the Country of your choice, you will see the amount of malware threats that have been found since 12 AM.
You will also get to see the number that this country comes in when ranked against others. This results in a list tilted “the most-infected” list. This is one list you do not want to be a part of. Right now, the United States comes in at number 3 behind both Russia and India. In this case, being less than first is preferred. However, the rankings are constantly shifting as new malware threats are found. It is a real-time map, so you get up-to-date information.
More Than One Threat
This interactive map created by Kaspersky Lab details more than one type of malware threat and uses different colors to identify each. This means that one glance at this map will show a variety of colors dancing across your screen. To name a few, orange is dedicated to email and yellow is reserved for malicious executable files. It is compatible with Twitter, so you can brag to other users or send out warnings with ease. Kaspersky Lab really did thick of everything.
Am I Infected?
There is also an “Am I Infected” icon that you can click on that will lead you to a download for a security scan. Kaspersky Lab is using this innovative interactive map tool to push their products and improve security awareness. Now seeing malware threats is easier than ever before.
