All of whom have their own stories and gimmicks whenever they are wrestling inside the rink. WWE was so popular that in 1980s, Hulk Hogan and other wrestling characters were shown through cartoons.
In 1985, WWE held its first Pay Per View called WestleMania. Though many though pay per view was risky, Vince McMahon, the CEO of WWE did not make this stop him from trying and he was right. WrestleMania became so huge that there were even well known celebrities who have joined the fun. With the mentioned success, McMahon tried to create other Pay Per View events.
As years passed, WWE came up with and has shown many different wrestling events on Pay Per View. Each event, even with a few similar rules, they had their own set of rules. The number of events in one year had ranged from 6 to 13 events. When their ratings started to drop, they would make a few changes and would rebrand another event or would create a new event sometimes.
